Job summary

The Employee Connect is recruiting an HVAC Project Manager / Mechanical Engineer (MEP) for a Pittsburgh-based full-service MEP consulting firm. You will lead design and project delivery, guiding HVAC systems from concept through construction administration while coordinating with clients and staff.

With 5–10+ years of relevant consulting experience, you will use AutoCAD and Revit to develop drawings, manage schedules and budgets, and mentor junior engineers in a people-first environment with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10+ years of HVAC/Mechanical Engineering in a consulting environment.
• Experience designing HVAC for commercial/institutional sectors.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; load calculations and sizing experience.
• Project leadership with client-facing responsibilities; PE preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HVAC/Mechanical Engineer and lead designer for projects.
• Perform HVAC design, calculations, equipment sizing, and docs.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit to develop and review drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and internal teams.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and technical quality.
• Lead client meetings, design reviews, site visits, and field surveys.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation.
• Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and bidding documents.
• Support construction administration and field issue resolution.
• Provide mentoring and design oversight to junior staff.
• Ensure designs meet codes and client requirements.
