Professions Inc is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with HVAC/MEP expertise to lead design and project delivery for commercial and industrial facilities. You will own projects from concept through construction, interact with clients, and guide contractors and internal teams on technical solutions.

This role emphasizes hands‑on field involvement, site visits, and growth within a collaborative culture that values initiative and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is required.
• Approximately 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in consulting/MEP/HVAC.
• PE license preferred; current NCEES record is a plus.
• Strong experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial/industrial facilities.
• Experience with chillers, rooftop units, piping, ductwork, and related mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, ASME).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
• Experience managing multiple projects, coordinating with contractors, and interacting with clients.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel locally and visit construction sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept to construction.
• Visit project sites regularly and participate in construction meetings.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, contractors, and engineers.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, design quality, and deliverables.
• Develop HVAC, piping, ductwork, and related systems for facilities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Support proposals and estimates to help identify new project opportunities.
