Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join our Commercial & Institutional - MEP Team at Bethlehem, Reading, or Parsippany offices. You will lead the technical execution of mechanical systems for priority projects and provide expert consultation across disciplines.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license with 10+ years in engineering consulting, and demonstrates strong knowledge of energy-efficient design, Revit/AutoCAD/MicroStation, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience is required.
• Prior engineering consulting firm experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of QA/QC procedures and related business practices in engineering.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and collaborate effectively; able to lead a team.
• Proficiency with MS Office software.
• Active role in a professional engineering society or organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of commercial and school projects within the discipline.
• Provide expert consultation in one or more engineering areas.
• Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of a project with other disciplines and project management staff.
• Mentor junior staff and perform technical reviews.
• Develop proposals and external presentations for clients, regulatory agencies, and others.
