Intertek USA invites applications for a Senior Project Engineer-HVAC in Cortland, New York. The role focuses on testing and evaluation under national and international standards, reporting results, and providing client-facing expertise within the Electrical team.

The position offers 50% travel potential, a base salary of $80,000–$95,000, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with match, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering is required.
• 4+ years of directly related experience.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Microsoft Office software experience is a must have.

Aufgaben

• Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the EUT (equipment under test).
• Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and manufacturing instructions.
• Read and understand client-provided or otherwise published performance or product safety standards.
• Validate the project scope and sample applicability.
• Set up and operate EUT; perform and document simple repairs on EUT as needed.
• Perform certification, testing work including but not limited to Batteries, BESS, Inverters, PV Modules.
• Conduct construction review, create evaluation reports and test plans, conduct and/or witness testing, resolve technical issues.
