Intertek is seeking a Project Engineer – HVAC Safety in Columbus, OH to independently perform testing on products to U.S. and international safety standards. The role includes writing reports, interacting with clients, and potential travel up to 50% to support projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a directly related field.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as business needs dictate.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• HVAC Safety Testing/Certification preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong time management.
• Able to communicate effectively in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
• Customer-focused and quality-driven.

Responsabilités

• Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards for EUT.
• Perform testing of products per standards (rating, leakage current, dielectric, etc.).
• Mentor less senior staff.
• Provide information for quotes (project length, site needs, equipment, samples).
• Set up and operate standard test equipment and build/calibrate fixtures.
• Handle samples, log in/out, and assist with shipment packaging.
• Provide sales support and communicate project status to clients and management.
• Offer ongoing client support as needed.
