Job summary

Havtech in Columbia, MD is seeking a Project Developer/Manager to lead complex HVAC projects from conception through delivery. This hybrid role blends engineering insight with proactive project leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget results.

You will develop system solutions, manage preconstruction, bidding, and construction activities, and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. A strong background in HVAC, construction management, and finance is essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in commercial construction with HVAC knowledge
• Ability to lead, coach, and train team members
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, controls, and process control
• Proven track record in project management, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, negotiations
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC systems and solutions from scoping to validation
• Lead preconstruction: design, cost estimates, value engineering, scheduling, cash flow projections
• Lead bid efforts: invitations, project manual, bid documents, bid requirements
• Manage construction for DB/CM/GC projects; be primary client contact
• Ensure timely close-out: punch lists, warranty docs, as-builts
• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members
• Support business development and client relationships
