Job summary

Air Distribution Limited in Plano, TX, seeks a Product Engineering Manager – Equipment to lead our ventilation equipment lines: VAV boxes, FPTU, FCU, and BCU. You will own the Engineering Change Process, guide value-engineering, DFMA, sustaining engineering, and new product development for these products, while coaching a high-performing team.

You will partner with manufacturing, quality, sales, and operations to deliver reliable, cost-competitive products on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, HVAC preferred.
• Proven managerial experience developing talent.
• Experience with Engineering Change Process (ECP).
• Experience in Phase Gate new product development.
• Knowledge of blower selection and application.
• Understanding of water and electric-coil heat transfer.
• Sheet metal design experience with manufacturability in mind.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own ECP for assigned product lines and drive changes on schedule.
• Lead cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives to improve COGS.
• Apply DFMA principles to improve manufacturability and reduce assembly time.
• Support sustaining engineering and reliability improvements.
• Lead cross-functional development of new products through Phase Gate from concept to launch.
• Coach and develop engineering talent and lead across sites.
