Job summary

The Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking an HVAC Mechanic III to lead installation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across district facilities. You will serve as a technical expert, reviewing system requirements and guiding troubleshooting with minimal supervision.

Minimum of ten years of HVAC experience in industrial or large-building environments is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years college HVAC courses.
• Valid Class C Texas driver's license.
• EPA Universal license to handle CFCs.
• Preferred Stationary Building Engineer License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• HVAC or electrical maintenance license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul large reciprocating, centrifugal, rotaty scroll and screw compressors.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex chiller or control problems; determine parts and procedures.
• Analyze HVAC system requirements; recommend new systems or modifications.
• Research new equipment or procedures for possible adoption and use.
• Set heating, air conditioning, ventilation and environmental control equipment in place.
