Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking an HVAC Mechanic I to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of ventilation, air conditioning, and environmental control systems. You will work under the HVAC Supervisor and Facilities Manager with limited supervision and handle work orders, materials, and time estimates.

Required are a high school diploma, Texas driver’s license, and EPA Universal license with 5 years of HVAC experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Universal license required or willing to obtain within 1 year.
• Class C Texas driver’s license.
• Five years of HVAC experience preferred.
• HVAC or electrical maintenance licenses are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control circuits.
• Overhaul small reciprocating compressors.
• Clean, lubricate and service HVAC equipment.
• Set heating, cooling, ventilation, and environmental controls in place.
• Repair or calibrate controls, thermostats, switches, and wiring.
• Maintain records on materials and labor; complete work orders.
