Job summary

Carroll County Government seeks a licensed Master HVAC Mechanic to oversee and perform installation, maintenance, and repair of complex HVAC systems across county facilities. The role requires advanced knowledge of codes, project leadership, and the ability to manage service calls and safety compliance.

You will mentor junior mechanics, coordinate with other trades, and ensure timely completion of work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years related experience required.
• Master HVAC license required.
• CFC Type II certification required.
• A2L Refrigerant certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee installation and maintenance of complex HVAC systems.
• Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and building equipment.
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule repairs and replacements.
• Inspect systems and read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Operate Building Automation System and use CMMS for data logging and maintenance tasks.
