Job summary

The Intrepid Group is seeking an HVAC Master Mechanic to install, service, and repair environmental-control systems across a variety of settings including residences and large commercial facilities.

Responsibilities include assembling ductwork, mounting units, wiring control panels, and testing systems for leaks while maintaining energy efficiency. Requires extensive HVAC experience and applicable certifications, with a security clearance as noted in the job description.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–7 years journey-level HVAC experience.
• HVAC apprenticeship and Freon recovery certificate.
• Ability to interpret codes, blueprints, wiring diagrams.
• Experience with Trane Tracer Summit, Honeywell, and Johnson Controls software.
• Security clearance: Active Top Secret / SCI.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair HVAC systems in residences, department stores, offices, and large buildings.
• Assemble ductwork, install condensers and evaporators, and connect control panels.
• Test joints for leaks, adjust gauges, and ensure energy-efficient operation.
• Operate boilers and chillers up to 150 tons and up to 580-ton cooling systems.
