Job summary

The Axel Group is seeking an HVAC Manager for our client's team in Exton, PA. This role oversees maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems, and leads technicians to ensure quality and safety across projects.

We require 8-10+ years in HVAC maintenance and management, a CFC certification, and hands-on experience with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and ATC controls. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 8-10+ years of relevant experience in HVAC maintenance and management
• CFC Certification required
• Experience with boilers, chillers, and cooling towers necessary
• Knowledge of ATC systems, controls, and energy management software

Responsibilities

• Supervise HVAC Service Technicians and coordinate departmental schedules
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain existing HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and RTU systems
• Install and replace pumps, pneumatic valves, electric valves, WSHPs, ERUs, and RTUs
• Perform preventative maintenance checks on major mechanical equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and assess operating efficiency
• Coordinate projects with outside contractors
• Order and secure materials needed for jobs
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and policies
• Complete required paperwork, time entries, and system updates accurately and promptly
• Conduct performance evaluations, coach, and guide HVAC Technicians
• Supervise and train HVAC Technicians
• Analyze departmental processes and suggest improvements
