Job summary

JLL in Corvallis, OR is seeking an HVAC Lead Technician to oversee maintenance, repair, and optimization of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across our commercial properties.

You will lead a team of technicians, ensure safety and compliance, and coordinate with building management to minimize disruptions while maximizing system longevity. The role requires 5+ years in HVAC, EPA certs, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with HVAC technical certification.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on commercial HVAC maintenance/repair.
• At least 2 years in lead/supervisory capacity.
• EPA Universal Certification (Section 608).
• Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management controls.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex HVAC issues including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, AHUs, and BAS.
• Oversee preventive maintenance across commercial properties.
• Supervise and mentor junior technicians; foster teamwork.
• Coordinate with building management and contractors to minimize disruption.
• Maintain accurate service documentation in CMMS; track inspections and equipment history.
• Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot to restore operations promptly.
• Ensure safety and compliance with codes and regulations.
• Recommend system upgrades for energy efficiency and cost savings.
• Manage parts, tools, and equipment inventory.
