Job summary

JLL in Tuskegee, AL is seeking an HVAC Technician to maintain and operate complex building systems. You will monitor boilers, chillers, RTUs, water treatment, and BAS to ensure reliability and occupant comfort.

Under the guidance of the Chief Engineer, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, document work orders, and order parts as needed. This role requires EPA certification and union membership eligibility.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related experience in HVAC operations and maintenance in commercial or institutional settings.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• This role falls under Local Union 559; membership eligibility within 90 days of hire is required.
• Experience with boiler systems, chilled water systems, RTUs, and water treatment systems is preferred.
• Ability to operate and interpret building automation and diagnostic equipment.
• Proficiency with building automation systems, CMMS, and documentation is expected.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and handling material movement.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate building systems through BAS and alarms, adjusting for performance.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, RTUs, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and perform corrective maintenance.
• Conduct water treatment monitoring and ensure system longevity.
• Document all work orders accurately in the CMMS and maintain service history records.
• Research and order supplies, parts, and materials as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe mechanical rooms and equipment spaces.
