Job summary

Neighbors Heating and Cooling in Ames, IA is seeking an experienced HVAC installer to join our team. The role focuses on residential replacement and retrofit projects, with some new construction and light commercial work. You will install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years HVAC installation experience.
• EPA Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• HVAC trade school or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related equipment
• Complete residential replacement/retrofit installations along with some new construction and light commercial work
• Read and interpret blueprints, job layouts, and technical manuals
• Ensure installations meet code requirements and company quality standards
• Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and project managers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
