Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking an Area Technical Specialist to serve as the technical liaison for HVAC Contractors, Distributors, and Manufacturer Representatives. You will provide expert guidance by phone and email, troubleshoot VRF systems, and coordinate jobsite visits to ensure customer satisfaction.

You will read schematics, perform software and hardware updates, and partner with engineering and controls teams to resolve complex field issues while developing training materials and supporting

Qualifications

• 15–20 years in HVAC or technical support
• 3–5 years supporting LG VRF & RL C systems
• Capable of managing regions and service champions
• Travel up to 75%
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in LG product line knowledge
• Proficiency in documentation creation and dispersion
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence
• Well-developed planning, organization, analytical and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Develop regional service support strategies & actions
• Manage all aftermarket support activities within assigned region
• Interface with building owners, general contractors, and service champions
• Provide direct technical guidance via phone, email, and case support
• Read, understand, and interpret wiring schematics and diagrams
• Coordinate with Tech Support and Engineering to resolve escalated issues
• Arrange supervised technical assistance for unresolved issues
• Interact with contractors and reps for jobsite coordination
• Use LG software to assess equipment selection and troubleshooting
• Review VRF system applications and perform load verifications
• Conduct onsite service, training and installation support
• Develop technical training materials and sessions
• Distribute factory literature and service bulletins
• Support aftermarket rework projects
• Network with regional sales staff
• Review warranty submissions within KPI of 5 days
