Job summary

AdventHealth Merriam is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to manage HVAC/R systems and facilities equipment. The role supports the daily maintenance of heating, ventilation and related systems to ensure comfortable, safe environments for patients and staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HVAC/R experience in healthcare or commercial settings, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow blueprints and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R experience and knowledge of building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and preventive maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages.
• Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Prepares preventive maintenance schedules and reports.
• Coordinates electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications per codes.
• Responds to in-house work orders and emergency calls.
• Trains staff and supports new process development.
