Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator to join our Deer Park, NY team. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial and public work HVAC projects, aligning with project managers, engineers, and vendors to deliver competitive bids and value engineering opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in HVAC estimating, strong knowledge of HVAC systems, and proficiency with estimating software and Excel. Travel to local sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Estimator or in a similar estimating role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation methods.
• Experience estimating commercial HVAC projects is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to attend local site visits on Long Island

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed HVAC cost estimates for commercial and Public work contracts.
• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs for HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, and materials.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs to ensure accurate proposals.
• Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals within required deadlines.
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving recommendations.
• Support project managers during project handoff and execution.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and historical cost data.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as needed
