Job summary

Lane Valente Industries is seeking a skilled HVAC Estimator to join our team. You will work on commercial HVAC projects, review specifications and drawings, and prepare accurate quotes and takeoffs to support our national accounts.

You will establish vendor relationships, coordinate with engineering, and manage bids from inquiry to purchase order while delivering excellent customer service and staying organized in a fast-paced environment; commutable to Staten Island.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in HVAC estimating.
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC / Mechanical Contracting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate effectively.
• Knowledge of bidding software.
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility and prioritization.
• Ability to develop budgets and timelines.
• Commute to Staten Island.
• Great customer service and a team attitude.
• Self-starter with strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
• Become proficient with all product offerings, estimating, and e-commerce software tools.
• Create quotes and respond to inbound queries and requests.
• Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products.
• Review mechanical drawings for incoming quote requests.
• Understand scope of HVAC work to bid.
• Communicate with the engineering department on new and current projects.
• Prepare job take offs.
