Job summary

Salas O’Brien, Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a fast‑paced, multi‑discipline team.

You will lead HVAC design for new facilities, additions and renovations, producing construction drawings, specs and BIM models while coordinating with clients and project teams. You’ll apply your 8+ years of HVAC design experience, a PE license preferred, and proficiency in Revit, BIM360, AutoCAD and MS Office to deliver high‑quality, sustainable engineering solutions across education, healthcare

Qualifications

• 8+ years of HVAC design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• PE license preferred.
• Experience leading project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC system designs for projects based on scope and RFPs.
• Design and evaluate HVAC systems across sectors; perform load and energy calcs.
• Prepare design docs, BIM models, specs, reports, and code research.
• Conduct surveys, document existing systems, and perform QA/QC.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and lead project teams; primary client contact.
