Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer, HVAC Design in Westminster, CO for a challenging on-site, permanent role. You will lead in-house design-build projects, review construction documents, and mentor junior engineers and designers.

The position requires a PE license, a strong background in labs/cleanrooms and data centers, and hands-on experience with HVAC system sizing and load calculations. You will collaborate with architects and contractors, ensure code compliance, and drive quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience, with design-build project background.
• Strong background in mechanical engineering on design-build projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and local jurisdiction amendments.
• Proven ability to perform quality control reviews of calculations and drawings.
• Proven ability to write drawing and book specifications and sequences of operation.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare mechanical construction documents for in-house design-build projects across conceptual, SD, DD and CD phases.
• Perform final quality checks on engineering calculations and drawings before sealing and signing.
• Train and mentor engineers and designers as the department's technical lead.
• Write drawings and book specifications, and sequences of operation for construction documents.
• Support preconstruction pursuits through conceptual designs, energy analyses, and code reviews.
• Evaluate HVAC load calculations, system sizing and equipment selections.
