Job summary

Johnson Controls in Houston, TX seeks a Commercial Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning and servicing of building control systems. You will mentor junior technicians and ensure top-tier customer satisfaction on-site.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex control malfunctions, proposing retrofits/upgrades, coordinating with project teams, and training customers on system operation while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) years commercial controls troubleshooting experience in HVAC.
• Strong communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex control systems malfunctions.
• Consult with customers and provide field proposals for retrofits/upgrades.
• Coordinate with project team to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Train customers on system operation and provide manuals/documentation.
