Job summary

Daikin Applied in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Controls Technician III to join our Building Automation Systems team. You will install, program, troubleshoot, and service commercial digital control systems, ensuring quality and profitability while delivering top-notch customer support.

The role requires strong knowledge of DDC controllers, BACnet/IP, Niagara AX/4, and calibration tools. You will mentor junior technicians, review work orders, and contribute to retrofit projects with a focus on

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
5+ years related experience.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift 50lbs with or without an accommodation.
Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.

Responsibilities

Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long‑term customer relationships.
Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers.
Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming.
Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians.
Create and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects.
Commission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications.
Provide training and follow‑ups for customers and operations personnel.
Complete work orders and review with customers for accuracy.
Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively.
