Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, is seeking a full-time Controls Technician II in Montgomery, AL onsite. You will install, program, and service commercial building digital control systems, with growth in responsibilities based on experience and certification.

You will collaborate with HVAC technicians, perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and retrofits, and participate in training programs to expand your expertise while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in BAS, HVAC, or related field.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire.
• Work visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive customer service and build long-term relationships.
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and modifications as requested by customers.
• Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, hardware, and programming.
• Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians.
• Create and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects.
• Commission controls installations and verify control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and other articles in a timely manner.
• Interact and train customers by offering status reports and explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in available training and maintain required certifications.
• Ensure clean work area and follow safety policies.
