Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc. in Montgomery, AL, seeks a full-time Controls Technician II to install, program, and service commercial building digital control systems.

You will work onsite, troubleshooting BAS, installing Daikin or third-party controls, and supporting HVAC technicians. The role offers hands-on training, certification opportunities, and growth within a leading HVAC/Building Automation company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as needed.
• No work visa sponsorship available for this position.
• Licenses and/or training as required by local law.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive customer service and build long-term relationships.
• Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications.
• Maintain BAS by inspecting trends, reports, schedules, hardware and programming.
• Commission controls installations and verify sequences meet specs.
• Create and implement programming/graphics for new installations and retrofit projects.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and other items timely.
• Train customers by explaining technical information to diverse audiences.
• Maintain required certifications and develop new skill sets.
