Job summary

HTS Engineering Ltd. in Houston, TX seeks an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize commercial and industrial systems, including air handling units and refrigeration equipment.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control failures and support Building Automation and DDC-enabled systems to meet energy targets and environmental specifications. The role covers AHUs, RTUs, chillers, chilled water, and hydronic systems in demanding environments.

Qualifications

Extensive experience with commercial and industrial HVAC systems and related refrigeration.
Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC).
Knowledge of energy management, control strategies, and energy-target optimization.
Hands-on experience with AHUs, RTUs, chillers, and hydronic distribution.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize commercial and industrial HVAC systems (York, Trane, Desert Aire).
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls failures.
Maintain cultivation environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, differential pressure, and airflow.
Support operation of AHUs, RTUs, Chillers, Dry Coolers, Cooling Towers, Dehumidification, Exhaust and Makeup Air, Fan Coil Units, Split Systems, and Refrigeration Equipment.
Monitor and optimize energy usage while maintaining environmental targets.
