Job summary

HTS Engineering Ltd. in Dallas seeks an experienced HVAC technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, VAV boxes, and controls. You will lead service calls and coordinate parts to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification preferred, and the ability to comply with safety and industry standards. This position is on-site with field responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Progressive hands-on commercial HVAC service experience.
• Journeyman-level proficiency in diagnosing and resolving advanced system issues independently.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Universal strongly preferred) or related credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform advanced repairs including major component replacements and system retrofits.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, performance testing, energy-efficiency assessments, leak detection, and optimization.
• Lead full service calls from dispatch to completion: assess issues, communicate findings, coordinate parts, execute work, and follow up.
• Ensure all work complies with codes, regulations, manufacturer specs, EPA requirements, and safety standards.
