Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a Senior Controls Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC controls and building automation projects. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and customer relationships across multi-building sites, mentoring teammates and acting as SME in controls.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and field teams, ensure contract alignment, and drive on-time delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Mechanical Engineering degree or Construction Project Management degree are a plus.
• 7–10 years’ experience in HVAC controls and project management.
• Practical experience prioritized if a 4-year degree is not held.
• Proficient in resource/manpower planning and leading diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Support sales with quotes and proposals.
• Manage change orders, recommend solutions and close orders.
• Maintain customer relationships and communicate project status.
• Create and maintain project schedules with milestones and critical path.
• Oversee contract clauses, cost/schedule validation and compliance.
• Manage cash flow, forecasts, project reviews and cost reporting.
• Coordinate with technicians and PMs on progress and submittals.
• Oversee subcontractor RFQ, awards, and performance.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and handle corrective actions.
