Mechanical Resource Group is seeking an HVAC Controls Engineer with expert-level experience in Distech Controls and the Niagara platform. You will design, program, integrate, and commission complex HVAC control systems and serve as a technical authority across projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer for commercial HVAC systems.
• Expert-level experience with Distech Controls (ECLYPSE/ECB platforms).
• Expert-level experience with Niagara including station architecture, drivers, licensing, and security.
• Strong system-level troubleshooting and integration experience.
• Knowledge of BACnet, MS/TP, BACnet/IP, Modbus, and networked BAS architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex HVAC control systems using Distech GFX and Niagara, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to develop controls engineers and programmers, reinforcing engineering standards and best practices.
• Develop and review detailed control schematics, risers, and layouts to support accurate installation and commissioning.
• Work closely with project managers, field technicians, and engineers to translate designs into executable systems.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet MRG quality standards from design through final system turnover.
• Support field execution and project delivery in coordination with Controls Operations.
• Lead or support high-level system integrations, network strategy, and third-party coordination.
• Provide advanced technical support, customer training and system walkthroughs to ensure a successful handoff.
