The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, collaboration with project managers, field technicians, and engineers, and mentoring junior staff while maintaining high engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years HVAC controls field experience or relevant military experience.
• Strong controls troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of construction and services processes in HVAC.
• Knowledge of third-party control systems and integration platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and manuals.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement HVAC control systems using Distech GFX and Niagara, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to develop controls engineers and programmers, reinforcing standards.
• Develop and review control schematics, risers, and layouts for accurate installation and commissioning.
• Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and engineers to translate designs into executable systems.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet MRG quality standards from design through turnover.
• Support field execution and project delivery in coordination with Controls Operations.
• Lead or support high-level system integrations, network strategy, and third-party coordination.
• Provide advanced technical support, customer training, and system walkthroughs for successful handoffs.
