Job summary

Mechanical Resource Group is seeking an HVAC Controls Engineer with expert-level experience in Distech Controls and the Niagara platform to design, program, integrate, and commission complex HVAC control systems. This role serves as a technical authority across projects within a family-owned company.

You will contribute to a culture focused on leadership and service, mentor other engineers, and collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality controls solutions.

Qualifications

• Expert-level experience with Distech Controls (ECLYPSE/ECB platforms).
• Expert-level experience with Niagara platform, including station architecture, drivers, licensing and security.
• 10+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer in commercial HVAC.
• Strong system-level troubleshooting and integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex HVAC control systems using Distech GFX and Niagara.
• Provide mentorship to develop controls engineers and programmers.
• Develop and review control schematics, risers and layouts for installation and commissioning.
• Collaborate with project managers, field technicians and engineers to translate designs into executable systems.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet quality standards from design to turnover.
• Support field execution and project delivery with Controls Operations.
• Lead or support high-level system integrations and third-party coordination.
• Provide advanced technical support, training, and system walkthroughs for handoff.
