Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to perform Master Systems Integration of building management systems (BMS) and to build control databases and user interfaces.

You will provide on-site and remote support, conduct field startup and commissioning, and ensure system operation per project specs. The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience in HVAC/Electrical/Mechanical or software engineering, with Travel up to 50% annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Building Management Systems and commissioning processes.
• Experience with Niagara, DistechControls and building automation protocols is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of annual time.

Responsibilities

• Create complex programming using flow diagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
• Perform programming of control applications using various software tools.
• Site startup, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
• Verify operation per project specifications and design documents.
• Develop system graphics displays per specifications or proposals.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
• Perform advanced system evaluation and diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot escalated problems and implement corrective actions.
• Document resolutions and report findings to Project team.
