Job summary

CBRE, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer to lead master systems integration of building management systems, develop control databases, and build user interfaces per project specs.

You’ll provide on-site and remote support, perform field startup and commissioning, and coordinate with installers. Travel up to 50% is required; strong knowledge of Niagara, DistechControls, BACnet/Modbus, and HVAC controls is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of standard procedures and ability to solve slightly complex problems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Create complex programming using flow diagrams and panel layouts.
• Perform programming of control applications.
• Site checkout, commissioning and testing of control applications.
• Confirm operation per project specs and design docs.
• Develop system graphic displays per project specs.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
• Evaluate and diagnose advanced system issues.
• Isolate and troubleshoot escalated problems and implement corrective actions.
• Document resolutions and report findings to the project team.
• Coordinate installation with contractors on-site.
• Share knowledge of standard principles and procedures with team members.
• Support management of software tools.
• Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values.
