Trane Technologies is seeking a Senior Commercial HVAC Technician for an on-site role in the Charleston, SC area.

In this role, you will leverage your HVAC skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and service a variety of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

What you'll be doing:

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests for commercial and industrial equipment, focusing heavily on chillers.

Your daily duties may include:

• Start-up and commissioning Trane controls and HVAC equipment
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems such as split systems, package units, and chillers, along with ancillary components like pumps and cooling towers
• Repairing building control systems and optimizing controls for better efficiency
• Replacing and modifying HVAC equipment or systems as needed

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; 5+ years in commercial/industrial HVAC; technical training preferred. Experience with chillers (air-cooled, water-cooled, centrifugal).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices (smartphones, tablets).
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months, with no major violations in the past 3 years.
• EPA Certification.
• Willingness to work on-call, overtime, and occasional overnight stays.

Pay Range:

$36-48+ per hour, based on experience and location. Actual salary may vary.

Additional Requirements and Environmental Exposure:

• Ability to operate a vehicle safely, wear safety gear, and perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
• Exposure to variable weather, mechanical parts, heights, electrical hazards, and noisy environments.
