Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to maintain critical building systems across the campus. The role requires sub journeyman-level expertise in building trades, preventive maintenance, repairs, and effective coordination with vendors and teams.

You will troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, respond to service requests, and help ensure safe, reliable facilities.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in one or more crafts (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance on equipment, buildings, and utilities.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems with limited supervision.
• Document work, prepare reports, and update work orders for each task.
• Coordinate workflow among technicians and serve as vendor contact when needed.
• Ensure safety and quality standards in all maintenance activities.
