Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior SCADA Commissioning Engineer to serve as the technical authority for SCADA, automation, and communications commissioning on high-voltage substation projects.

You will coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, OEM, utility, and customer teams, leading testing, troubleshooting, and system integration to ensure readiness for energization and handover. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 5–10 years in SCADA, automation, and communications commissioning for high-voltage substations.
• Experience with RTUs, IEDs, protection systems, and utility control centers.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% for field commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commissioning plans, tests, and procedures for SCADA and automation systems.
• Lead testing and commissioning of SCADA systems, RTUs, HMIs, gateways, and protection relays.
• Supervise and mentor commissioning teams; ensure safety, cybersecurity, quality, and approvals.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering, OEMs, and customers to resolve issues and meet milestones.
• Maintain commissioning documentation, test reports, NCRs, and as-built records.
• Uphold Siemens Energy's Zero Harm safety culture on high-voltage sites.
