Qualifications

• B.S. Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Power Systems.
• 7+ years of substation design experience in HV environments.
• 2+ years of project engineering in HV roles.
• Proficient in reading schematics for HV equipment.
• Fundamental knowledge of load flow, insulation coordination, grounding, arc-flash, TOV, harmonics.
• Understanding grid integration requirements for renewables.
• Strong communication and leadership in technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of EPC contractor engineering design and construction activities for HV substations and lines.
• Establish and maintain relationships with HV contractors.
• Review Substation EPC designs for interconnection compliance and standards.
• Provide design review and resolve technical issues.
• Review power system studies (load flow, short circuit, harmonics, TOV).
• Coordinate with interconnection providers to meet requirements.
• Support substation commissioning with testing coordination.
• Collaborate with project management, development, real estate, permitting, finance, and field teams.
• Travel and fieldwork ~25% of projects in Eastern/Central US.
