Job summary

Saber Power Services, based in Houston, TX, is seeking a Field Project Manager III to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex high-voltage construction projects in the field. You will act as a senior field leader, ensuring safety, on-schedule delivery, and contract compliance while guiding field teams and coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of HV construction experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent HV utility or industrial construction experience may be considered.
• 7+ years of high-voltage utility or industrial electrical construction.
• Experience managing complex substations, transmission, or distribution projects in the field.
• Experience leading field project teams and coordinating subcontractors/vendors.
• PMP or equivalent project management training preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field execution of HV construction projects (substations, transmission, distribution).
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resources, and EVMS reporting.
• Monitor costs, productivity, and schedule; take corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients for project success.
• Conduct daily project meetings, safety briefings, and job hazard analyses.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and client programs.
• Oversee material deliveries, equipment, manpower, and work sequencing.
• Review timesheets, daily reports, field docs, and project records.
• Identify and resolve schedule, cost, quality, and resource issues.
• Coordinate solutions with PMs, engineering, operations, and leadership.
• Ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, codes, and quality requirements.
• Participate in planning, constructability reviews, and execution strategy.
• Maintain client relationships and represent Saber Power in the field.
• Provide regular updates, forecasts, and status reports to leadership.
• Mentor Project Managers, Coordinators, Superintendents, and field staff.
• Support project closeout activities and final reporting.
