Job summary

root/edge is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, High Voltage for Operations Engineering and Project Execution. This role focuses on owning HV/MV assets, keeping systems reliable and compliant while also delivering retrofit and new project work across solar and storage fleets.

You’ll troubleshoot field events, perform root‑cause analyses, implement upgrades, ensure NERC/PRC compliance, and collaborate with operations and EPC teams on delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in HV/MV electrical engineering across operating assets and project delivery.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving plant/substation issues independently.
• Direct knowledge of protection and control schemes, transformers, breakers, cables.

Responsibilities

• Lead field-informed troubleshooting of system events across the operating fleet.
• Perform root-cause analysis using relay data, SCADA data, and diagnostics.
• Define and implement upgrades and retrofit projects to improve reliability.
• Provide NERC/PRC compliance support and regulatory alignment.
• Collaborate with Operations on resolving technical issues and optimizing performance.
