Job summary

Plan B Climatech is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for mission critical/hyperscale data centers. This remote, US-based role offers leadership in electrical design, from basis of design through construction, with cross-discipline coordination and client engagement.

You will guide power-system architecture, MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, and protection schemes, and mentor junior engineers while improving design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience with data centers.
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70 and electrical safety.
• Experience with MV/LV distribution and mission-critical systems.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; BIM/VDC workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from basis of design through construction documents.
• Develop power system architecture, single-line diagrams, and equipment schedules.
• Coordinate utility services, transformers, UPS, generators, and switchgear.
• Direct short circuit, coordination studies, and arc flash analyses.
• Drive interdisciplinary coordination with mechanical, controls, and BIM teams.
• Lead QA/QC reviews to ensure code-compliant deliverables.
• Engage with clients and contractors; review RFIs and field issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design standards.
