Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking a High Voltage Superintendent to oversee high‑voltage electrical construction for utility‑scale renewable energy projects across solar, BESS, and wind. You will coordinate with EPCs, subcontractors, utilities, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant, and timely execution in a fast‑paced environment.

You will monitor QA/QC, review plans, and drive field issue resolution while mentoring field teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical construction with significant high‑voltage experience.
• Experience building renewables like solar, BESS, or wind.
• Strong knowledge of substations, collection systems, switchgear, transformers, interconnection equipment.
• Ability to coordinate electrical contractors and manage field operations on large projects.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to US project sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee high‑voltage electrical construction for utility‑scale renewables (solar, BESS, wind).
• Lead on‑site coordination with EPCs, electrical subcontractors, utilities, inspectors, and internal teams.
• Ensure installation and commissioning meet designs, codes, and utility requirements.
• Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress and address field issues.
• Coordinate electrical with civil, mechanical, and general construction scopes.
• Review work plans, construction methods, schedules, and safety procedures.
