Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Developmental Services, seeks a Human Services Coordinator Supervisor (HSC II) in the Newton/South Norfolk Area Office. This role supervises Self-Direction Service Coordinators, coordinates work plans, and ensures ISP documentation and compliance across the team.

The job requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining a person-centered approach for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• At least four years of full-time case management or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Willing to travel based on assignment.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of DDS programs and resources.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Self-Direction Service Coordinators.
• Plan, prioritize and coordinate work by assigned staff.
• Monitor Individual Service Plans.
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure case documentation meets standards (ISPs).
• Identify health, safety, risk and changing needs and escalate as needed.
• Provide performance feedback and evaluations to staff.
• Provide coverage when an HSC I is absent.
