Prince William County is seeking a Senior Human Services Specialist for the Public Assistance team to guide individuals through SNAP and Medical Assistance eligibility. You will conduct interviews, verify details, and clearly explain program benefits with a focus on compassionate service.

This full-time role offers telework eligibility within a 37.5-hour week and a supportive environment designed for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years’ experience determining eligibility for public assistance.
• Experience with VaCMS for SNAP eligibility.
• Experience with MAGI and Families & Children Medicaid using VaCMS.
• Background checks required: criminal history, CPS, DMV.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive for work.

Responsibilities

• Review applications and determine SNAP and Medicaid eligibility.
• Conduct interviews, verify applicant details, and deliver compassionate customer service.
• Explain program benefits and guide clients through the eligibility process.
• Handle high-volume workload in a fast-paced setting and perform additional tasks as needed.
