• Candidates must pass criminal history, child protective services, and DMV background checks.
• Resource/foster parents for youth in the Prince William foster-care program may not be employed by the Prince William Department of Social Services. Resource/foster parents for youth from other localities are welcome to apply.

About This Role:

Additionally, you will handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting and may perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. and 4 years of experience determining eligibility for public assistance programs in VACMS.

P references:

• 4 or more years of experience determining eligibility for SNAP using VaCMS
• 4 or more years of experience determining eligibility for MAGI and Families & Children Medicaid using VaCMS
• 2 years of experience independently troubleshooting and successfully resolving VaCMS system issues

Special Requirements:

• All DSS staff are required to provide emergency human services work, including staffing emergency shelters in the event of a community disaster.
• Candidates must pass criminal history, child protective services, and DMV background checks.
• Resource/foster parents for youth in the Prince William foster-care program may not be employed by the Prince William Department of Social Services. Resource/foster parents for youth from other localities are welcome to apply.
• Staff in this position must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive for work.

Work Schedule:

37.5-hour work week; manager will determine specific work schedule (sometime between 8:00 and 5:00 pm).

This is a telework-eligible role that may revert to in-office scheduling if business needs change. Employees who telework must have adequate workspace and internet connection.

Starting Salary Range:$65,910.00 - $92,907.75 Annually
