Job summary

Vanguard Logistics Services is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Specialist to join our Americas HR team in Miami, Florida. This hybrid role covers the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, changes, transfers and offboarding, while ensuring policy consistency across regions.

You will partner with local, regional and global HR teams to deliver practical HR support, maintain records, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of HR, Generalist or People Operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin or related field.
• Experience across HR operations, employee relations, recruitment and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of U.S. employment practices and federal/state requirements.
• SHRM certification or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers across the Americas.
• Manage full lifecycle activities: onboarding, changes, transfers, promotions, offboarding.
• Coordinate onboarding/offboarding, background checks, HRIS updates, files.
• Maintain confidential records and HR systems.
• Support recruitment: job requirements, sourcing, screening, offers and onboarding.
• Prepare employment letters and HR documentation.
• Support employee relations and performance management matters.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Finance and local HR teams on changes.
• Assist with benefits administration and attendance records.
• Produce HR reports for global stakeholders and participate in initiatives.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources Specialist to join our Americas HR team in Miami, Florida.

This is a hybrid, hands-on HR Generalist / People Operations role supporting employees and managers across the employee lifecycle. You will work closely with local, regional and global HR teams to ensure effective HR processes, strong employee support and consistent application of company policies.

The ideal candidate will be practical, organized, responsive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural and multi-location environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers across the Americas.
• Manage and support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, transfers, promotions and offboarding.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including background checks, employment documentation, HRIS updates and personnel files.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.
• Support recruitment activities including job requirements, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers and onboarding.
• Prepare employment letters, HR documentation and employee change records.
• Support employee relations, workplace concerns and performance management matters, escalating complex issues when required.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures and general employee-related matters.
• Coordinate with Payroll, Finance and local HR teams to ensure employee changes are accurately processed.
• Support benefits administration, employee queries and enrollment processes, as applicable.
• Manage and maintain accurate leave and attendance records.
• Prepare HR reports, employee data and workforce information for global stakeholders.
• Support employee engagement, recognition, wellbeing and other People initiatives.
• Assist with the implementation of regional and global HR policies and processes.
• Identify opportunities for HR process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Participate in regional and global HR projects and People Operations initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• 4–6 years of HR, HR Generalist or People Operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• Strong experience across HR operations, employee relations, recruitment and employee lifecycle management.
• Practical knowledge of U.S. employment practices and federal/state employment requirements.
• Experience supporting employee relations and performance management matters.
• Strong understanding of HR administration, employment documentation and confidential employee data.Experience working with an HRIS; ADP Workforce Now experience is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with employees and leaders at different levels.
• Strong discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Experience working in a multicultural or international organization is preferred.
• Fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding or supply chain is an advantage.
• SHRM certification (SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP) or an equivalent recognized HR certification is an added advantage.
