JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Human Resources Manager will play a key strategic role in leading the HR function across a multi-state company. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and local employment laws and fostering a culture of excellence. The Senior Human Resources Manager will drive initiatives that support employee engagement, performance, and development, contributing to the company’s overall success. The candidate will be a leader within a family of companies, partnering closely with the business and HR corporate team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand organizational objectives and develop HR strategies that support the business growth strategy.
- Partner with compensation and company leadership team to design, evaluate, and implement competitive compensation plans, including the development of company-wide incentive programs aligned with financial goals.
- Plan, lead, and drive the facilitation of new HR programs, focusing on continuous improvement and alignment with the Company’s strategic direction.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a key consultant to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and organizational development.
- Mediate and resolve employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and support conflict resolutions to maintain a positive work environment.
- Guide managers in setting performance goals, delivering feedback, and conducting evaluations. Manage the performance appraisal system to drive high performance that leads to effective succession planning.
- Identify training and development needs, coordinating programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Lead HR initiatives such as performance reviews, employee engagement surveys, and talent development programs, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement programs to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being, such as employee recognition and retention programs.
- Oversee the contingency process for new hires, adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
Onboarding and Training:
- Lead and enhance the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for new hires. Oversee employee data management in Workday for payroll and employment tracking.
- Provide training to Manager’s to enhance their knowledge of onboarding best practices and processes.
- Lead seasonal rehire process and onboarding needs.
Employee Engagement
- Implement programs to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being, such as employee recognition programs.
- Facilitate engagement survey feedback and recommendations on employee engagement.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews, making recommendations for organizational improvement.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Track HR metrics, create reports, and provide data-driven insights to support business decisions for Turnover and Workforce Planning.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, mitigate risks, and oversee HR policies and programs.
- Partner with safety managers to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in HR leadership roles, ideally with multi-state responsibility and a strong understanding of local employment laws and regulations.
- Proven experience driving HR initiatives, with the ability to lead and mentor teams.
- Experience working with compensation plans and putting together company incentive plan recommendations.
- Experience working within a corporate structure where the HR Manager supports a multi-site company that operates as part of a larger umbrella organization.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, with Workday experience is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail, time management, and multitasking.
- Strong preference for candidates who are bilingual in English and either Spanish or Portuguese.
- The ability to occasionally travel to satellite offices in the area, collaborating with leadership teams to assess HR needs and offer ongoing support.
