Job summary

Camaco is seeking a bilingual Senior HR Generalist to support a workforce of 700+ employees in a manufacturing environment. You will manage benefits, leave administration, employee relations, and day-to-day HR operations, partnering with employees, supervisors, and leaders to deliver confidential HR services.

You will communicate HR information in both Spanish and English and support onboarding, recruitment, and HR reporting across shifts. This role is on-site in Columbus, Nebraska.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HR Generalist or in a comparable HR role.
• Fluency in Spanish and English for HR communications.
• Experience supporting hourly employees in manufacturing or high-volume settings.
• Knowledge of benefits administration and leave processes (FMLA).
• Strong employee relations, communication, organization, and problem-solving.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain records.
• Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office; Workday preferred.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary HR resource for hourly employees, supervisors, and managers.
• Support benefits administration, enrollment, questions, and provider coordination.
• Process and track FMLA and leave requests; communicate with employees and leaders.
• Support employee relations by listening, documenting issues, and resolving matters.
• Advise supervisors on HR policies, attendance, performance, and practices.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, changes, and offboarding.
• Maintain confidential employee records in Workday and HR systems.
• Support recruiting and retention for hourly manufacturing positions.
• Ensure HR practices align with policies and requirements.
• Prepare HR reports and support audits, initiatives, and improvements.
• Communicate HR information clearly in Spanish and English.
• Build trust with employees and leaders across shifts and departments.

This role provides hands‑on HR support across benefits, leave administration, employee relations, and day-to-day HR operations. The Senior HR Generalist partners with employees, supervisors, and leaders to deliver responsive, consistent, and confidential HR services.

Key Responsibilities
