Role: Senior HR Generalist

Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite)

Duration: W2 Contract

Summary:

Looking for an experienced Sr. HR Generalist to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our organization’s Human Resources functions. The Sr. HR Generalist will own the delivery of our benefits and leaves programs for our CA employees along with other Sr. HR Generalist responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Responsible for executing HR strategies that drive firm-wide business objectives, reviews, analyzes, and recommends best practices to continuously improve HR service delivery.
  • Partners with Sr. HR Manager to review, update, and communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal HR policy interpretation.
  • Manage employee onboarding/off-boarding, new hire orientation, training programs, employee terminations, and exit interviews.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of USCIS Form I-9; process certifications, reverifications, and E-Verify for new hires. Conduct periodic audits of I-9 Forms.
  • Analyze employee headcount and turnover data, identify patterns, and recommend improvements.
  • Manage leaves of absence, facilitate leave requests, and maintain FMLA records and eligibility tracking.
  • Respond to employee benefit inquiries, manage open enrollment, and other benefits programs.
  • Support annual compliance reporting (e.g., CA Pay Data, EEO-1, CA Occupational Employment & Wage Statistics).
  • Conduct intake meetings for Covid-19 cases, contact tracing, protocols, and processes.
  • Assist with visa and immigration programs to ensure USCIS compliance.
  • Advise new hires on work visa transfers, international travel/visa applications, and permanent residence sponsorship.
  • Coordinate work visa and green card reporting for HR Business Partners, managing immigration expenses and budgets.
  • Assist with stakeholder communication regarding immigration policies and assessments.
  • Schedule immigration meetings, trainings, and provide team support as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ HR experience with at least 2 years in US Leaves of Absence and immigration programs.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end immigration case processes, including document review, communication, and data accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, resilient, and able to work under pressure.
  • Experience with Caribou or similar immigration platforms preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn HRIS and talent management systems quickly.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough HR procedures knowledge.
  • Advanced HRIS knowledge and technical adaptability.
