Insight Global in the United States is seeking an experienced HR leader for a heavy manufacturing environment. You will oversee employee relations, investigations, and labor relations across multiple unions, providing hands-on support on the plant floor.
This role requires independent work in fast-changing settings, collaboration with the TA Manager and recruiting teams, and willingness to travel or support off-shift needs as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related HR discipline
• HR experience within a heavy manufacturing plant environment
• Experience supporting unionized workforces and labor relations
• Strong employee relations and investigations experience with structured follow‑up
• Proven ability to operate independently and deliver results in fast‑changing, unstructured environments
Proficiency with HRIS systems, including Workday, and strong Microsoft Office skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience leading training and development initiatives
• Background in facilities undergoing operational or cultural improvement
UKG Dimensions experience (nice to have, not required)
Job Description
• Serve as a highly visible, hands‑on HR leader within a heavy manufacturing environment
• Support a unionized workforce of ~600 employees across 3 shifts and 4 unions
• Act as a second point of escalation when manager is unavailable
• Maintain a strong floor presence; employees have daily access to HR offices
• Manage employee relations, including constant investigations and open‑door policy matters
• Conduct investigations end‑to‑end and ensure proper documentation and follow‑up
• Present investigation findings and outcomes to the Board of Directors as required
• Adapt daily priorities as issues arise; role requires frequent pivoting
• Occasionally support off‑shift needs (by phone or onsite, infrequently)
