Job summary

Premier Staffing Solution is seeking a visible, floor-first HR leader to hit the ground running on the manufacturing floor, partnering with plant supervisors to improve employee retention and culture while ensuring strict timecard governance for payroll processing.

Educational requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent; hands-on experience with UKG is required. Candidates should have a minimum of five years in HR within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary resource for managers and employees related to one or more HR functional areas; develops reports and analyses; recommends action; provides proactive resolution of employee concerns.
  • Develops and delivers communications and presentations for managers and employees; conducts training and presentations.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develops recruitment strategies; conducts full-cycle recruitment for various positions.
  • Coaches employees and managers on goals and performance management; may lead calibrations.
  • Works with compensation to ensure competitive total compensation; resolves pay and benefits issues.
  • Supports HR processes and programs to deliver innovative solutions; ensures compliance with regulations; mentors other HR Generalists; leads HR projects.

Job description

We need a visible, floor-first HR leader who can hit the ground running. You will bring "fresh eyes" to the production floor, working closely with plant supervisors to improve employee retention, elevate workplace culture, and ensure strict timecard governance for corporate payroll processing

Provides Human Resources support to one or more group(s) of managers or employees.

Educational Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, business, or equivalent education and experience.

System Expertise: Hands-on, proficient experience with UKG is required.

Floor Presence & Culture Enhancement
  • Walk the Floor: Maintain a daily, highly visible presence on the manufacturing floor to build trust, bridge communication gaps, and support plant supervisors.
  • Culture & Retention: Assess current plant dynamics with "fresh eyes." Proactively design and execute actionable strategies to improve employee retention and morale.
  • Employee Relations: Provide real-time coaching, conflict resolution, and guidance to supervisors and floor staff.

Certifications - PHR or SPHR certification preferred

Job Responsibilities
  • Serves as the primary resource for managers and employees related to one or more functional areas; develops reports and analyses as required; recommends action within HR and/or to managers and employees; provides proactive resolution of employee concerns and problems with goal of future problem prevention.
  • Develops and delivers written communications and presentations to communicate concepts related to one or more functional areas for managers and employees; develops and conducts training and presentations.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develops effective recruitment strategies. Conducts full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers for hourly, salaried exempt and non-exempt positions at designated location(s).
  • Coaches employees and managers in developing goals and objectives and provides coaching on performance management processes and may lead calibrations.
  • Work with managers and the Compensation team to ensure that the business' total compensation is competitive for its employee base. Identify, facilitate, and resolve compensation and benefits issues quickly.
  • Develops, documents and recommends continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures or programs to deliver innovative solutions to meet needs.
  • Supports centralized processes, such as FMLA/LOA and Workers' Compensation, providing feedback when issues arise along with solutions.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Acts as a mentor or resource to other HR Generalists including answering questions, coaching, and guiding day-to-day activities.
  • Leads HR projects of varying size and scope that may span across locations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
  • Some experience in the development of principles and practices of human resources functions and/or a specific function within HR
  • Very strong organization and time management/project management skills necessary to prioritize and manage multiple, complex projects, potentially with conflicting priorities; ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate work with diverse groups of employees
  • Demonstrated skills in employee relations with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Some experience in leading HR Projects
  • Exhibits sound judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential situations and information
  • Proven ability to work independently and apply fact-based decision making
